Frances Rebecca Terebessy, 90, died December 25, 2017 at Hospice of The Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC.

She was born March 5, 1927 in Wyanet, Illinois to Arvin Miles and Florence Irene Andrews. She was their third child and was only 4 pounds at birth. She always told the story of being kept warm on the door of the wood burning stove and fed mashed potatoes to fatten her up.

Frances always had a happy outlook about life despite a few bumps in the road as she explained. She felt blessed. She married Louis Terebessy on June 1st 1947. They lived in the Fox Valley Illinois area and raised their family there but later in life moved to sunny warm South Florida and lived there for a number of years spending many days on the golf course together. She also loved to garden. She enjoyed her time living in the Carolinas too as she enjoyed the people and the climate there as well.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Louis Terebessy and their daughter Cindy Schweisthal, her sister Regania Larson and her brother Otis Andrews.

She is survived in life by her daughters Rebecca Wolf and husband Mark, Debbie Salois and husband Jack, and Abbie Volin and husband Andy. She had 8 grandchildren: Chris Westphall (Chris), Lisa Cantu (Reuben) Shane Salois, Kendra Konczal (Mike), Kenny Doyle, Reilly Doyle (Holly), Brendan Doyle (Whitney) and Katie Wolf. She had 5 great grandchildren, Cloe Smith-Westphall, Avery Smith-Westphall, Beckham Doyle, Juliette Doyle and Logan Doyle.

A memorial celebration will be held at the Hospice House Thursday, December 28th at 6pm.

She will be buried in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL next to her husband.
