Sharon Rogers Stepp, 81, of Hendersonville passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 with family at her side.
She was a Henderson County native born to Selman & Alta Rogers of the Fruitland community on November 16, 1941. She was the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. A wonderful mother who had strong faith in Lord with an unwavering love and support for her family. She was well loved member of the community in Henderson County.
Her relationship with the Lord began as young child attending Fruitland Baptist Church. She also spent many summers studying the word and enjoying the fellowship provided at Fruitland Bible College. She was a graduate of Edneyville High school, and worked multiple careers as a dental assistant, General Electric, Henderson County School System, and Wilsonart. In her retirement years she continued to serve her community as a poll worker and active member in democratic party of Hendersonville for over twenty years. She also volunteered as Pink lady at Pardee hospital.
Her sense of travel and adventure was inspired early in life when her family moved to Bozeman Montana as nine-year-old girl, as her father worked in the logging industry for two years. That sense of adventure continued in her retirement years as she was able to visit Italy, Germany, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and most of the continental U.S.
Sharon leaves behind two children, sons, Ryan Stepp, Atlanta Indiana, Alex (Ebony) Stepp, Las Vegas Nevada, and two grandchildren Amaya and Hayden Stepp.
