Ronald Craig Silver

.Ronald C. Silver, age 71, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Tryon Estates in Columbus, NC. 

Ron was born on November 7, 1946 in Fredericksburg, VA to Sylvester and Marian Silver.  He graduated from Kansas State College in 1970 and served in the National Guard for 6 years.  Ron married Anne King in 1971 and they had two daughters.  He worked as a loan officer at Fredericksburg Savings & Loan.  His greatest joys in life were time spent enjoying the outdoors golfing, hunting and fishing.  He retired to Burgess, VA  to be close to the water that he loved.

  Ron is survived by his wife Anne, daughters Connie and Sarah (Sean), father Sylvester, brother Jerry (Vicki), and other extended family. 

A memorial service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 150 Melrose Ave., Tryon, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ron’s name can be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills or Ducks Unlimited.
