Ralph Lyle Reeder

    Ralph Reeder, age 98, passed away from natural causes on March 9, 2026, at Tryon Estates in Columbus, North Carolina.

     A veteran of World War 2, he was part of the American Occupation Forces in Japan at the war’s end.  Upon his return to his native California he married June Adele Fritcher, his wife of 72 years. Ralph worked in the Cabinetmaking industry his entire career and eventually started his own highly successful cabinet business in Los Alamitos, California called Meyer and Reeder.  His shop was so highly regarded that he designed the cabinetry and woodwork for several large restaurants in the Southern California area as well as high end attorney offices, hospitals, and the homes of Hollywood movie stars. His reputation was such that after his retirement he sold the business to one of his employees and it is still in operation some 35 years later as one of the premier cabinet shops in the area.

     Ralph is survived by his daughter Claudia Langley, Grandson Dr. Aaron Langley and grandchildren Sydney and Porter Langley.  He will be interred at Tryon Estates Memory Garden on April 15th along with his late wife June Reeder.
