Penelope "Penny" Mike

Penelope “Penny” May Spooner Mike, age 81, of Mill Springs, N.C. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Her final days were spent surrounded by many family members and friends who were blessed to have been loved by her.

Penny had a passion for cooking for her family and gardening. Her heart also overflowed with love for her animals as she cherished and loved them like her own children.

Though Penny may no longer be with us, she is free of pain and worry and resides in Heaven with her Savior Jesus Christ.

Penny was born in Worcester, Massachusetts.  She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Mike and daughter Christina Mike Jackson.

Surviving are three sons, Ernie Kelly, Danny Kelly (Tracy), and Roy Kelly (Jacquie). One daughter, Anna Vest (Kevin), her grandchildren Brian Kelly, Nikki Campbell, Heath Kelly, Zoie Miller, Coy Jackson, Toy Jackson, Sam Robinson, Brailey Vest, Harley Vest, Avery Vest, and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will be holding a private service at her request.
