Michael Ward Adkins

Michael Ward Adkins died on 10 Nov 2022, at Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC. 

Michael was born 11 Jul 1946, in New Orleans, LA.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967 and was honorably discharged in Germany. Michael worked primarily in the food service industry and as a caregiver. 

Michael is survived by his daughter, Ariena Lula Adkins Lovejoy of Yucca Valley, CA, his son Anthony Alexander Hermsen, grandsons Jordan Ward, Carter Grant, Dillon Michael & Mary Page Lula Lovejoy, also of Yucca Valley.  He is also survived by granddaughters Rachel & Laura Franke, and Michaela Franke-Schmidt Reichart, all of Germany.  Surviving siblings include Mary Elizabeth 'Molly' Adkins of Napa, CA, John E. Adkins of Belville, TX, and Thomas R. Adkins of Columbus, NC. 

Burial will be at Black Mountain State Veterans Cemetery.

Memorial Service will be at a later date.
