Michael Ray (Sr.) Rhodes

Michael “Mike” Ray Rhodes Sr., 72, of Marion NC, passed away November 16, 2023.

Mike was born July 24, 1951, in Henderson County, NC. Mike was a truck driver all his life and retired after 50+ years OTR.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Lafayette Rhodes and Viola Taylor Rhodes, and a sister, Debra Rhodes, all from Henderson County, NC.

He is survived by his children, Michael Ray Rhodes Jr. (Tina) of Tryon, Thomas Rhodes (Daphne) of Union Mills, Gail Thompson of Hendersonville, and Sheena Hensley (Matthew) of Old Fort; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy “Buffy” Tucker and Kathy Sherman (Gerry); two brothers, David Rhodes (Marie), and Donald Rhodes (Arlene).

A memorial celebration will be held with the family at a later date.
