Michael “Mike “Morton Leake
Michael Morton Leake, 77, of Tryon passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Michael was born January 25, 1946, in Barstow, CA to Jeff and Ruth Leake.
Michael is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda, (Cantrell) a daughter Melinda (Steve) of Hendersonville, and two grandsons, Alex & Jonathan both of Tryon, Sisters, Gail Peden of Spartanburg, SC and Toni Metz of St. Simon’s Island, GA, a sister-in-Law, Julie Cantrell of Tryon, and brother-in-law, Glen Cantrell (Donna) of Green Creek, NC plus many nieces and nephews.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother and father, and two brothers, Zane Leake (Iris) and Dale Leake (Linda).
Michael was employed with Overnite Transportation Company (Greenville, SC) for 30 years and was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Harmon Field on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 1-5 pm.
