Obituary
Luella Mae Sanders age 81, of York, SC passed away January 15, 2022 at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney, SC from complications of Covid 19.
She was born in York, SC to the late John Ivey and Bertie Clark. She was the last of 11 children in their family which included, Buck Ivey, J.D. Ivey, Bobby Ivey, Howard Ivey, James Ivey, Annie Lee Gordon, Sarah Lowe, Margaret McDaniel, Joanne Lingerfelt, and Viola Westmoreland. Luella retired in 2005 from the Champion Corporation in York. She was also predeceased by her husband, Bobby Gene Sanders.
Survivors include four children, Richard Sanders, Randall Sanders, Michael Sanders and Gwen Ricks; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
A private burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in York.
