Obituary
Judith Lucille Becker, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5th of 2023.
She was loved as a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her three daughters: Jennifer Holleman, Judith Paquet (m. Carl Paquet), and Kristen Phillips (m. Sean Phillips); and her five grand-children: Emma Holleman and Benjamin Holleman; Cathryn Paquet; and Campbell Phillips and Roman Phillips.
She enjoyed a 20 year career at St. Luke’s Hospital; following her retirement, she volunteered with Lake Lanier Library and the Second Chance thrift store. Judy was an avid collector of dolls and a beloved member of the Land O’Sky Doll Club.
A strong woman with a fierce independent streak, Judy lived to be present. Her witticisms were quick, and her laughter would fill the room. She enjoyed good conversations over coffee. She had a love of life and a deep admiration for the world and all of its creatures.
Her ashes will be joined with her beloved dog, Jack. They will be laid to rest off the coast of Seabrook Island.
A celebration of life service will be held 11am to 1pm on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 at the Congregational Church, 210 Melrose Avenue in Tryon, NC.
