Joyce is also survived by the many other family members, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends that have known and loved her throughout this life.
Joyce was born and raised in Rutherfordton, NC. She went to school at Harris, NC. Raised her children. She worked at Milliken New Prospect plant. After that career, she helped her siblings take care of her parents in their elderly stages. She also helped take care of patients at Holly Springs nursing home before retiring.
When she was younger and able, she liked going to the beach, the mountains, historic places and homes, antique and consignment shops with her family and friends. She also liked watching videos on exploring old houses and historical properties.
Over the years Joyce especially loved gathering with her family and friends. Conversing with her parents and siblings around the dining room table. Spending time with her children and grandchildren and going on short outings with them.
Joyce seriously answered the call to JESUS in her middle age. She enjoyed going to New freedom Baptist Church in Columbus, NC where she was baptized. They had a fire many years ago that damaged the old building. Joyce was very loving and industrious in her efforts, along with that of many others, including her brother and other sisters, to help rebuild from the ashes. Joyce did a very good work there afterwards, she spent many charitable years of support, praising and singing in the congregation until infirmities hindered those noble efforts. Later she would listen to pastors and preachers on the Internet.
May the beloved Joyce ever rest in THE LOVE, peace, and joy of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS, THE CHRIST.
