Obituary
Jerry Dwight Holley, known to all as "Dwight," passed away peacefully at home in Tryon, North Carolina, on April 14th, 2023, at the age of 80.
He was born on August 24th, 1942, to Imogene and Leon Holley. Dwight attended the University of Arkansas, where he received a Masters Degree in Marketing. He spent his career as a sales manager for several chemical companies, allowing him to travel the world and visit places such as Africa, India, South America, and Australia. He loved vacationing in England and France and traveled four times on the Queen Mary II with his wife Linda, whom he was married to for 30 years. Dwight was also a pilot and enjoyed golfing and home improvement.
He was preceded in death by his son David, who passed away in 2010.
Dwight is survived by his daughter Sherry Hamilton, sister Sherry Lum, and stepson Kord Campbell.
Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service. Dwight wanted those who wish to honor his memory to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
We hope that Dwight finds peace and joy as he continues his journey beyond this life. Dwight will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and willingness to help others in need. He passed away surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian Mountain woods of North Carolina, with the sound of birds singing in the background. He will be deeply missed.
