Jeffrey Brent Saunders

Jeffrey B. Saunders age 65 of Columbus, NC went home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Alva (Cotton) and Betty Saunders of Redhouse, WV; 2 brothers, Mike Saunders and David Saunders.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tammy Hatton; 2 sons, Alex Saunders and Ben Saunders(Morgan) of Conway, SC; stepchildren, Shane Jenson, Randy Jenson, Aren Hatton, Jessica Hatton all of Minnesota; 1 sister Wanda Noffsinger (Jack) of Redhouse, WV; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren and friends.

Jeff was employed at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Store in Columbus, NC. Previously employed at Ruan Transport of Gastonia, NC, Midstate Transport of Sioux Falls, SD, Schnieder Trucking of Indianapolis, In, and Knight Transport of Indianapolis, In. He enjoyed working in the family business in North Carolina and West Virginia. Jeff had been president of BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) in Canton, SD. He was a member of GOC (Guardians of the Children) in Canton, South Dakota, Legion member and Legion Rider in Sioux Falls, SD. Jeff enjoyed motorcycle Rallies, Semi-truck parades, making moonshine, helping kids, Sunday Fundays, cornhole and billiards.

A Celebration of his Life will be 1pm Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Sanders Funeral Home Chapel.
