James Randy Johnson

James "Randy" Johnson of Rutherfordton, NC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 10, 2025.

He was born in Rutherfordton, NC to the late Jim Johnson and Joann Stacey Johnson. He is also preceded by his son, Nicholas Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Patty Johnson, his daughter Nichole Johnson, grandsons Bryson and Baylon Bishop, his sister, Joan Johnson Stanley, brother-in-law, Frankie Stanley, brother John Johnson, half-brother, Derek Johnson.

Randy was a retired truck driver and a member of New Freedom Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Thursday, November 13, 2025, at New Freedom Baptist Church with pastor Frank Stanley and Tyler Finger officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service outside the church.
