James Ellis Anderson Jr.

James Anderson age 97 of Rutherfordton, NC. passed away September 15, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Anderson, Sr. and Bessie Allen Anderson, two wives, Betty Allen Anderson and Julia Hensley Anderson, his stepsons, Kenneth and William Garrett.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his stepdaughter Inger Garrett Danner, two granddaughters, four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

James graduated from Wake Forest University with a double major (math and chemistry), and NC State with a Chemical Engineering degree, as Registered Professional Engineer.

He was an Eagle Scout, Scout Master, and earned the Silver Beaver Award.

He lived a long and fulfilling life and will be missed by many.
