JD Haynes, 87, of Mill Spring died Nov. 16, 2020, in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC.
A native of Polk County, he was a son of the late General Lee and Carrie Lee Lightle Haynes. He retired from Ford Motor Co, where he was a job setter.
He was predeceased by his sister, Jannie Lee and brother Robert Haynes.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet Hayward Haynes, his daughter, Marilyn Haynes of the home; and his son Sherman Haynes, of Berkeley, Mich. Also his brothers John ( Marguerite) of Imlay City, Mich., Thomas Haynes of Ray, Mich., Preston (Sandra) of Alger,Mich, and his sister Doris Cagle (& husband Ray Kinney) of Alger, Mich.
Other survivors include: his granddaughters Kendra (Jorge) and Rachel (Melchizedek); great grand children Antoni, Kiara, Aliyah,Enoch, Elijah, and Elisha.
