The family of Hunter Dale Detweiler of Saluda, NC is saddened to announce his passing on June 16, 2022 at the age of 34.
He was a caring son, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
He was the loving son of Melissa Heatherly Wood, Jim Wood, and Skip Detweiler.
He was the store manager for ProSource plumbing supplies for many years. He attended Saluda Elementary and East Henderson High School.
Hunter enjoyed many things in life including: deer hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, razor, and dirt bike, playing with his German Shepherd (Karma), playing golf, and watching Georgia Football (GO DAWGS!). But most of all, Hunter loved spending time with his friends and family… especially his son Hudson. Hunter was always the life of the party and loved making others smile and laugh. He always reached out a hand to anyone in need of help. Hunter touched the lives of so many people any everyone who knew him, absolutely loved him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents (Melissa & Jim Wood, and Skip Detweiler), his siblings (Karli Wood, Taylor Wood, and Jordan Wood), his son (Hudson Detweiler), his grandparents (Dolly & Eddie Corbin, and Skip Detweiler), and his life long best friend Jared Morgan. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends he's made through the years.
At this time, no arrangements have been made but a celebration of life will be announced soon.
