George Dalton Brown Sr.

George Dalton Brown, age 94, died peacefully on October 21, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center  following a sudden illness.

George was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Falla Brown and his parents Hosea Elias Brown and Ruth Taylor Brown.

He is survived by his children Bonnie Laney, Elizabeth Seward (David) , Dalton Brown (Glenda), Arthur Brown (Daphney), five grandchildren,  three great grandchildren, one sister and one brother.

George was born in Woodruff SC on December 16, 1925 and is a retired manager from Jeffery Manufacturing Company. He resided in Columbus, North Carolina.

George was a patriot and veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an avid golfer shooting his age at 85. He also competed and won at "Words with Friends" until the end.

Due to the current COVID crisis, a memorial service will be held in North Myrtle Beach at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the building fund of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Woodruff South Carolina.
