Frederick Stephen Haas, 68, of Tryon, North Carolina passed away July 29, 2020 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.
Fred was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 3, 1952 to the late Janice M. (Bradney) Haas and Charles R. Haas. At an early age, Fred moved with his parents to the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania where he graduated from Southern Lehigh High School, and spent the first half of his life.
Fred had a strong interest in the fine arts and studied art in college, attending Moravian College, the Cleveland Institute of Art, and the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Following college, Fred began a career as a self-employed carpenter, electrician, and house painter, which he took with him when he moved to Tryon, North Carolina. Fred’s hard work and friendly disposition made him many close friends over the years, and they will miss him.
Fred is survived by two brothers David W. and Philip C. Haas.
His request was to have a private service.
