Eva Tipton Obituary
Evie Mae Tipton age 68 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
She was born in Yancey County to the late Woodrow Whitson and Bulow Wilson Whitson.
Evie moved to Polk County in Summer of 1968. She was a member of Pilgrims Way Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and listening to Gospel music and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish, her fond memories are her husband of 53 years, Truman Tipton, kids Benjamin Tipton (Angela), James Tipton (Crystal), Beckie Naylor (Donald), Patricia Laughter (Curtis), and Adam Tipton (Christine); and her 14 grandchildren; and her 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings, Leonard (Kathy), Nina, and Jane.
Funeral Services will be 2 PM. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Pilgrims Way Baptist Church in Rutherford County with Rev. Wayne Stafford and Pastor Trent Watson officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Benjamin Tipton, James Tipton, Adam Tipton, Josh Tipton, Lukas Tipton, and Curtis Laughter.
