Betty Jean (Reynolds) Devinney

Betty Jean Reynolds Devinney, 89, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away August 25, 2022, at White Oak Manor.

She was born in Rock Hill, SC, on December 30, 1932, to the late RC Reynolds and Myrtle Robinson Reynolds.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Devinney; one sister, Anne Poplin; and one brother, Billy Reynolds.

Betty worked for Harris Teeter for many years in the produce and beauty aid departments.  She was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church until her illness prevented her from attending services.

Betty and Elbert have two sons whom they loved very much, Rev. Randy (Glenna) Devinney and Phil Devinney.  She was also blessed with six grandchildren, Chris (Rhonda) Devinney, Stephanie (Jason) Burgan, Michael Devinney, Toni (David) Mendenhall, Josh Devinney, Zac (Makayla) Devinney, and 13 great grandchildren. She has two sisters, Anna (Don) Webb and Sylvia (Jimmy) Rawls.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, SC. with Rev. Dean Reynolds officiating.
