Barry Scott West

Barry Scott West, 56, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2021.

Barry was born on April 23, 1964 to Barney and Ruby West in Spartanburg, SC. 

He was a member of Boiling Springs Church of Christ. Barry was self employed and could fix anything he put his hands on. He loved life and wanted everyone around him to enjoy life.  He always had a smile or hug for anyone near him. His favorite pass time was playing guitar and he was awesome.  He could play any song  just by listening to the song a few times.

 Barry was proceeded in death by  his parents,  Barney West and Ruby West, and his two brothers, Kenny West and Jonathan West.

Barry is survived by his wife of 31 years Anita West; his daughters, April West ( J.C.), Kayla Brown (Jacob),

Amanda Martin (Shawn); and son, John West (Caysie); his sister, Stephanie Robertson (Jon); his grandchildren, Jacob, Morgan, Avery, Oliver and Riley and lots of nieces and nephews. 

 Family and friends will be received Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Boiling Springs Church of Christ at 870 Double Bridge Road from 1-2:45 followed by a Memorial Service  at 3 PM. with Michael Grooms and Joe Mabry officiating.
