Arnold Patterson Watkins

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arnold Patterson Watkins of Mill Spring, NC.  He was born in Fletcher, NC, and passed away peacefully at home at 4:59 pm, on January 26, 2022, at the age of 90.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Watkins, mother, Nada Scarborough Watkins; four brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Johnathan Watkins of TN.

He is survived by his children, Levona Watkins of Mill Spring, Carmel Watkins also of Mill Spring, Dawn Jordan of TN, Jeff Watkins of TN, and Deanna Drury of SC.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danielle Lawter of Sunny View, Triston Watkins of Mill Spring, Daniel Watkins of Mill Spring, Trinity Watkins of Mill Spring, Luke Jordan and Josh Jordan of TN, Tiffany Pruitte of TN, Chance Watkins of TN, Emily Drury of SC, and ten great grandkids.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Sanders Funeral Home from 2 till 4pm followed by military honors accorded by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.

Masks are suggested for everyone's safety.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Arnold’s name/memory be given to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 374 Hudlow Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
