In Loving Memory of Angela Kayanne Plasse

Angela Kayanne Plasse, a partner, daughter, mother, niece, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend, was a woman who brought joy, love, and laughter to everyone she met. Born on March 6, 1979, Ang spent her early years in Kent, Washington. Ang spent her early years creating magical worlds in the greenbelt—building forts, pretending to be a mermaid, princess, or even an alien. Her imagination knew no bounds, and that same sense of wonder would stay with her throughout her life.

Ang graduated from Creston High School in 1997 before moving to Bithlo, Florida, where she became a loving and proud mother. Her family—especially her partner Christopher Moore and children Courtney, Christian, Ricky, and Rachel—were her heart and soul. She was excited for the future, eagerly awaiting her son Christian’s graduation and a summer camping trip to Yosemite, where she planned to make more memories with the people she loved.

A passionate lover of animals, Ang cared deeply for all creatures—whether reptile, mammal, feathered, or furred (especially Badger and Layla). She was once the proud caretaker of 15 reptiles and found joy in rescuing birds and even transporting alligators across roads, always going above and beyond to ensure the safety of God’s creatures. Her heart was large, and she often advocated for those who were less fortunate or in need of help, always standing up for the underdog.

Her scrappy nature was matched by her lighthearted spirit. Ang delighted in preparing food for others, especially at Katie D’s NY Bagels & Deli in Tryon, North Carolina, where her love for feeding others was evident. Her sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her, and her playful side was never far behind—whether it was tickling, pinching, or trying to inspire a spontaneous dance party, Ang made sure everyone had fun.

Ang was captivated by the beauty of the natural world. She found peace in hiking, fishing, and immersing herself in nature. Her lion’s mane of hair and tiny feet made her a unique presence, one that will forever be remembered by those who knew her.

Sadly, on March 14, 2025, Ang passed away due to respiratory distress, likely caused by a viral infection. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. She was taken from us too soon, but the lessons she taught us—about kindness, imagination, and the joy of living fully—will remain with us forever.

In honor of Angela, we remember her spirit and her laughter. We carry her love for animals, her fierce devotion to family, and her boundless creativity in our hearts. Though she may no longer walk among us, her memory will live on in every act of kindness, every spontaneous dance, and every moment of joy we share.

Angie, you will always be loved, and you will always be missed.
