Vey Turner (Alice Vey McKinney Turner), age 77, of Landrum, South Carolina, passed away on May 8, 2026.
Born on November 17, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William and Henri McKinney.
Vey spent many years exploring the world as an international flight attendant. Her career fueled a love of travel and adventure. Friends will remember her sharp mind and social spirit at the Bridge table; she cherished her Bridge group and the deep, lasting friendships formed over many years of play and conversation.
Vey was a warm presence in the lives of her loved ones—a loyal friend and a devoted grandmother who took immense pride in watching her granddaughters grow.
Vey is survived by her husband, Henry Turner; her son, William Gillaspy and his wife Kristen; and her stepchildren, Dana Holsclaw (husband David) and Hank Turner. Her legacy lives on through her beloved granddaughters: Emma Kate, Alice, Elaina, and Katie. She is also survived by her brother, Bill McKinney.
A visitation will be held at Sanders Funeral Home on May 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
