Albert "Butch" Odel

Albert Roger Odel, 73, of Sunny View NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 7th, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  

He was the son of the Late Albert & Faye Odel. 

Butch is survived by his wife of 52 years Shirley Condrey Odel of Sunny View, NC; Son, Stephen Roger Odel (Sherrie); 3 Grand children, Peyton & Gavin Odel; Kayla Wimmer (Calvin): 1 Great grandaughter Harper Wimmer; Brother Bruce Odel (Lou); Sister Christine Edwards (Stanley): numerous nieces and nephews. 

Butch was a life long member of Big Level Baptist Church in Sunny View, NC and served in multiple capacities thru the years including Deacon and Building Commitee.  

Butch's life was his grandkids and his family.  In his younger years Butch enjoyed fishing, flying planes, RC's and farming.  Many of you may remember the sunflower fields he has planted in front of the church over the years. Butch had degrees in eletronics and machinist.  Most of his career was spent in law enforcement and construction.  The last 10 years of his career was spent helping his son run parts and grow his trucking business.  

Visitation will be March 10, 2021 from 3-3:45pm at Big Level Baptist Church in Sunny View, NC.  Funeral services will be held at 4pm at the church with Pastor Sean McKaig officiating.

Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
