Albert Ray Hipp

Albert Ray Hipp age 68 passed away November 22, 2021 in Asheville, NC.

Ray was born in Chester, SC. to the late Albert T. Hipp and Louise Campbell.

Ray served  his country in the US Army, being stationed in Vietnam, and later he served  in the National Guard Reserves for the remainder of his military service. He then settled in Rutherford County and became well known in the community, where he held many titles. He owned and operated Hipp Body Shop for 30 years. Ray was a loving husband and father. He was an honest and supportive friend to all that knew him. Ray was an avid fan of Nascar Motor Sports, old cars, westerns, and believed in the values associated with living “the simple life”. Ray will be missed dearly and remembered always.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Hipp; 5 sons and 2 stepsons, 1 predeceased son.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
