Richard Jay Camp, age 68, of Landrum passed away on October 30, 2019.
Born in Tryon, North Carolina on September 10, 1951, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Katie Camp. He was a member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Tryon. A faithful servant of the Lord, he was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and fan of the Clemson Tigers.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal Camp Bailey (Travis) of Landrum and two grandsons whom he adored, Brendan Taylor of Washington, DC and Avery Bailey of Landrum. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Johnny Camp.
The family will receive friends 1:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Curtis Jones and Rev. Jimmy “Hambone” Camp officiating.
The burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Landrum.
The family is at the home, 721 Landrum Mill Road, Landrum South Carolina 29356.
