Melvin Spivey Obituary

Melvin Ray Spivey age 73 of Rutherfordton, NC went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, July 13th, 2019.

Born in Polk County to the late Lindsey Theodore Spivey and Annie Lou Poole. Melvin was a retired Auto Mechanic by trade but his passion was preaching the Gospel and touching the lives of so many people. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chesnee, SC.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Imogene Davidson Spivey.
He is survived by 3 children, Danny Spivey, Elisabeth Cabral and Robin Barnett; 8 grandchildren, Makayla Barnett, Jordan Spivey, Caitlin Spivey, Eathan Spivey, Crystal Barnett, Jaden Cabral, Megan Cabral, and Ian Cabral; 1 great granddaughter, Kaylee Ruff.

Memorial Service will be 7 PM. Wednesday July 17th, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Chesnee, SC. with Rev. Randy Shields and Rev. Mark Parris officiating.

The family will be receiving friends 5:30-7pm at the church.
