Kenneth Nelson Haynes age 64 of Forest City, NC passed away October 26, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospital.
Born in Charlotte, NC. Kenneth was retired owner and operator of Silver Creek Campground in Mill Spring, a member of Bethany Baptist Church, member of the Coast Guard Auxillary, and a volunteer fireman for East Nash, Wilson, and Mill Spring Fire Departments. He loved boating and canoeing, and was an avid fisherman.
Kenneth was predeceased by his father, Junior Nelson Haynes and step father, JB Boykin.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Shoupe Haynes of Forest City, NC ; mother, Jean Meadows Boykin of Wilson, NC.; a daughter, Lisa Marie Haynes of Charlotte, NC.; a sister, Sue Phillips of Wilson, NC.
Funeral services will be 4 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Fox and Rev. Paul Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 2 till 3:45 PM at the church prior to the service.
