Beverly Watford Tames age 78, formerly of Hendersonville passed away November 11, 2018 at Tryon Estates after a long illness.
Beverly graduated from Brenau University in GA with a Bachelor’s degree in English and, subsequently, received her Masters in Library Information Science from Emporia State College in Emporia, Kansas. She retired from the Johnson County, Kansas library system in 1999. Bob & Beverly moved from Kansas to Bishopville, SC for 9 years and then to Hendersonville for the next 10 years. Tryon Estates became their final home in 2015.
She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Tames, two sons Dr. Lee Turner (Pam) of Reno, NV and Dr. Mitchell Turner (Janet) of Atlanta. Also surviving is her stepdaughter, Lisa Standish Gangai (Angelo) of Liberty, MO.
Beverly will be inurned at the Tryon Estates Columbarium in a family service.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 374 Hudlow Rd. Forest City, NC 28043.
